Powering the watch is Omega's very fine caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era. It was one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs.
Omega's 500 series was one of the finest mass produced automatics from the era, and the 565 was the premier movement in the series. Watches powered by 500 series movements are excellent buys today because of their quality and relative ease and low cost for servicing.
It has a waterproof style case and distinctive dial. The case measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date model and 2mm smaller than a Datejust.
It is fully Omega down to the hands and crown. It presents in true expertly restored condition. The case presents as mint and the dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could almost pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the movement has been recently cleaned and oiled.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
